Baseline survey

We seek to understand the attitudes and perspectives of the youth towards climate action and inform our interventions. The surveys will conducted amongst nationally representative groups of youth in a subset of African countries. The sample of countries represents a variety of different relevant archetypes, such as drivers of climate vulnerability, current economic structure and dependency on high-emission sectors and demographic aspects that are relevant to both the risks and potential opportunities such as population density and degree of urbanisation. The youth sample is drawn in such a way that comparisons are not only possible by country, but also within a country by gender, socio-economic status and location (urban, peri-urban or rural) without losing statistical rigour.
