Jacobs Ladder Africa

greenlabs’ Fourth Cohort Graduates!

On December 3rd, 2025, Jacob’s Ladder Africa marked a proud milestone as the fourth cohort of the greenlabs entrepreneurship incubator program graduated successfully. The graduation ceremony was both a celebration and a moment of reflection marking the culmination of months of rigorous learning, experimentation, and growth, as  participants  navigated the realities of entrepreneurship within Africa’s green economy. Each graduate crossed the stage having sharpened not only their business models, but also their confidence, clarity of purpose, and readiness to lead.

Ahead of the graduation, participants took part in a comprehensive communications workshop designed to equip the cohort with the ability to communicate intentionally and authentically, critical yet often overlooked skills in entrepreneurship.

The sessions highlighted why communication matters in business and walked participants through practical self‑assessment and reflection. They were guided to articulate their personal journeys, link their lived experiences to the motivations behind their businesses, and clearly express the purpose driving their ventures.

Rather than focusing solely on pitching techniques, the workshop emphasized storytelling as a strategy,  equipping them to develop more authentic narratives, stronger value propositions, and more relatable forms of influence when engaging partners, customers, and investors.

The workshop also included a dedicated session on professional and dining etiquette, reinforcing the importance of presence, confidence, and cultural awareness in business spaces. From boardroom interactions to formal networking settings, they gained practical insights into navigating professional environments with ease and credibility.

Together, the sessions were rich, practical, and immediately applicable, reflecting the program’s commitment to holistic entrepreneur development where technical skills, personal clarity, and professional conduct are treated as equally important.

As the fourth greenlabs cohort graduates, these entrepreneurs join a vibrant network  of young leaders building solutions for a greener, more inclusive economy. greenlabs has built a transformative alumni community that offers ongoing support and accountability, ensuring that each venture continues to grow long after the program ends.  With this community backing them, graduation becomes not a conclusion but a powerful continuation point, a moment that marks their readiness to lead, to innovate, and to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s green future.
