ALU Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023

Karen Chelang’at, JLA’s Chief Programmes Officer took part in a panel hosted by the African Leadership University on 13th November as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023. She was joined by Tiekie Barnard, Shared Value Africa Initiative Founder & CEO, Blessing Caine, Renew Capital Investment Manager, Nomboh Evans, ALC Valley & Motor Health Founder & CEO, to discuss “Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Nurturing The Next Generation of African Problem Solvers.”

“It’s refreshing to see various actors’ commitment to foster a rich ecosystem for entrepreneurs to thrive in Africa, which is core to our belief at Jacob’s Ladder Africa in Umoja – boldly and passionately steering Africa towards her destiny through innovative, ingenious and transformative solutions, by leveraging integration, community building and unity in thought & action, Karen commented, on the outcome of the panel” She added: “Despite the challenges that confront us as a continent, I am genuinely hopeful about the African future. With Umoja, our collective graces can overcome the challenges, create innovative locally relevant models, and pave the way for greater possibilities for all Africans.”
